Since this year, Amazonas has been implementing the ‘More than sport’ project, within the framework of Erasmus+ key activity 2 – small partnerships in the field of youth. The project is created in partnership with the Empoderar organization from Portugal. The value is EUR 60,000, and it is co-financed by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs.
Last week, in Zagreb, we held a preparatory meeting. There were six youth workers – three from Amazonas and three from the Empoderar organization. The goal of the meeting was to exchange expectations of cooperation, examples of good practice from both partner organizations, and to agree on final details regarding the management of the project itself. In addition, it was important to agree regarding future steps towards the realization of the final goal of the project. Manual for working with young people with fewer opportunities with the aim of encouraging their personal development and sustainable social transformation. The methods will be sports and physical activity.
It was agreed which elements the manual must contain and the specific goals of the workshops we create. The final result, the manual, will be available to many organizations working with young people with fewer opportunities.
After the meeting, we will start creating workshops, and testing of them is expected in the spring of 2023. We are preparing more interesting opportunities for experts in working with young people, so follow us!
