MODEL EU: Handbook on the possibilities of youth activation

Our European Solidarity Corps volunteer, Nadia, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Club of the Faculty of Political Sciences, organized the Model European Union Zagreb from April 21 to 23!

The project included a simulation of the work of European institutions, in which young people are active participants. During three days, they participated in intensive discussions on EU legislation. In addition, they connected with peers from all over Europe.

The goals of the MEU Zagreb were:

  • to improve the knowledge of young people about the functioning of the EU and the policies that apply to them
  • to increase debating skills of participants
  • to motivate participants to actively get involved in EU youth policies.

72 young people between the ages of 18 and 30 participated in MEU Zagreb. As part of the project, a handbook was created on the possibilities of political activation of young people, both locally and internationally.

The manual can be found HERE.
