Empowerment of Professionals

A large part of our work is focused on the development and transfer of new methods in working with children and young people. Through sport, body-based work, music, capoeira, and creative approaches, we develop innovative tools and preventive programs which we share with professionals in education, social welfare, and the non-profit sector. In our projects we regularly collaborate with schools, institutions, and partner associations. Through these collaborations we bring our methods and approaches into their work, empowering professionals and enriching their programs with new experiences and tools.

Trainings for Professionals

Our trainings for professionals are based on experiential learning and practical methods that can be applied immediately in working with children and youth. Through workshops and training sessions we provide tools for developing social and communication skills, preventing behavioral problems in children and youth, and fostering resilience.

A special emphasis is placed on empowering professionals in their work with children and young people in challenging situations, in order to create a safe and stimulating environment. Trainings focus on the empowerment of professionals – their personal and professional development, as well as resilience – but also on strengthening their competences in working with children, youth, and parents, with the aim of creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Development of Programs, Educational Materials, and Manuals

Alongside trainings for professionals, we have developed cycles of workshops and programs for children and young people, which we implement in schools, associations, and institutions, with classes and groups of children and youth at risk. The workshops combine experiential exercises, play, movement, and discussion in order to foster resilience and social skills in children and young people.

Through our programs we have developed several manuals for working with children and youth, as well as educational materials for professionals and practitioners working with children and young people. All materials are available online free of charge.

Erasmus+ Trainings for Professionals

Amazonas is an accredited organization for Erasmus+, which enables us to organize trainings for youth workers and also to participate as partners in international trainings. Erasmus+ trainings are aimed at developing professional competences and exchanging experiences. This means that through us you can take part in trainings we organize in Croatia, or travel abroad to learn in an international environment.
