The European Solidarity Corps program enables young people to participate in a wide range of activities through volunteering, internships and employment, at home or abroad. In Croatia, the Agency for Mobility and EU programs is in charge of its implementation, and Amazonas implements volunteering programs and internships and employment. We are currently implementing the 7th long-term volunteering project and part of our team consists of Francesco from Italy (Rome), Eduardo from Spain (Madrid), Mathilde from France (Epinal) and Dolores from Germany (Eitorf).
This year, for the first time, we are conducting an employment activity, and our last year’s volunteer Pilar from Spain is our first international employee this year, through a solidarity project.

Since 2019, we have been awarded the title and honor of being the Ambassador of Solidarity Corps and we are carrying out activities to inform and strengthen other organizations for the implementation of solidarity projects. erasmus+
Erasmus + is the EU’s largest program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Through its various types of programs and initiatives, it provides opportunities to individuals of different ages and organizations of different profiles in these areas.
Amazonas is active in Erasmus + program as hosting and sending organization for Mobility of youth workers (trainings) and Youth Exchange programs. So far, we have conducted one training for youth workers (another is in preparation), two youth exchanges (one is in preparation) and sent over 60 people to various training and exchange projects. We partner with a number of international organizations and often offer opportunities to participate in learning mobility projects for young people and people who work with young people. Under the Erasmus + program, most project participation costs, as well as travel costs, are covered.
