Like every year this year Amazonas hosted the Capoeira Summercamp again. Everything started on Friday the 11th of July and ended on 20th in Camp Čikat at the beautiful Island of Lošinj where Amazonas is stationed since a couple of years.
We began setting up our Tents and Equipment to form a Camp under the Shadow of the trees. First Day was free so i started the 10 Day Experience by going for the swim in the beautiful and clean sea at the island. On Saturday I started filming the first Workshop in the morning which was the starting shot for a series of amazing capoeira workshops in the following days.
Between the workshops I was free, so I had plenty of time experiencing and discovering the huge area of the Camping Space which included a bakery, supermarket, swimming pool and even a little gym. So, I used this opportunity and used a lot of time to relax and go sunbathing, which was a nice contrast to the busy big city life in Zagreb where at times it may feel impossible to relax while the fresh salty water of the Mediterranean seems to work wonders to the relaxation of the soul.
I was also blessed with the opportunity to film a Capoeira Workshop in the city Library of Mali Lošinj where a lot of people were stunned of the Capoeira impressions of our organization and after the event i was able to have a stroll through the beautiful old town. The evenings often were spent together at the camp enjoying a drink in the beautiful sunset at our camp.
Overall, I would say that the camp was a great way of ending our Volunteer Experience, that way we were able to spend time at the stunning coast of Croatia and met all Amazonas people before now on beginning of August we all start heading to our home Countries again.
