Call for volunteers! ESC project ‘Building an inclusive society vol.2’ will be held in Zagreb, Croatia. It will last from 07th of September 2022. to 31th of July 2023.
Activity description
Project will be held in Zagreb, Croatia. It will host four volunteers. It will last from 07th of September 2022. to 31th of July 2023. Amazonas is a host organization and it is active in sport, social and cultural field and we have a lot of projects for youngsters. The overall aim of the project is to build, together with international volunteers, inclusive society. During the service, volunteers will be involved in activities in which they will learn skills and competencies trough methods of non – formal education, peer to peer approach and intercultural learning. First group of activities is focused on the local community and second one is focused on personal and organizational development.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
During the project volunteer will live in shared apartment with other volunteers (4 persons). Accommodation will have shared rooms (maximum 2 volunteers per bedroom), dining/living room, kitchen and bathroom. Volunteer will receive the money monthly. Every month they will have 150 Euros of the pocket money and 130 Euros for food. Accommodation and living bills are covered by the project. Budget for the travel (plane, bus) depends on the volunteer’s country. Regarding local transport, volunteers will have tickets for public transportation.
Training during the activity
During the project volunteers will have: pre-departure training organized by their supporting organization, on-arrival and mid-term training organized by National Agency in Croatia. Video editing and media education and social skills and work with children in risk education, organized by Amazonas.
Participant profile
We are searching for volunteers from different countries. Amazonas team is open to host anybody who is motivated to actively participate in ESC project and is between 18 and 30 years old. We are determined to give all young people the same opportunity, regardless of their knowledge, skills, economic or any other status. We want to give volunteer a chance to better understand their own self, to take initiative, to learn not to be afraid of risks, to become more open minded and tolerant and to have a chance to acquire new skills.
